Explosions In Iran Near Qasim Sulemani Grave 70 Killed


Iran Blasts: Two massive explosions took place in Kerman city of Iran, in which 103 people died. While more than 170 people were injured. News agency AFP has given this information. These blasts took place near the grave of the country’s former General Qasim Sulemani. Iran’s government media has reported that these blasts took place during the program being held on the fourth anniversary of Soleimani’s assassination.

The Deputy Governor of Iran has termed this incident as a terrorist attack. America killed General Qasim Sulemani in a drone attack in the year 2020. After Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Sulemani was counted among the most powerful people in the country. Many dead bodies are seen on the road in the videos going viral on social media. Video posted on Iranian state media showed large crowds running away from the area after the explosion. In such a situation, the number of deaths may still increase.

The death toll may increase

Babak Yekta Parast, a spokesman for Iran’s National Emergency Services Organization, said the number of people killed in the blasts was likely to rise further. According to the Al Jazeera report, the spokesman told state television by telephone that the information we have received shows that many of the injured are in very serious condition. He also said emergency service helicopters were ready to airlift patients from Kerman to hospitals in the capital Tehran if needed.

How did the former general die?

Former General Soleimani was killed in a US drone attack on Baghdad airport on January 3, 2020. In such a situation, today it has been four years since his death. On this occasion, a program was being organized in his honour. Meanwhile these explosions occurred. It is noteworthy that in 2020, Trump described Soleimani’s death as the biggest victory and even called him the world’s number one terrorist.
